Hillcrest Academy will bounce into Friday's match after beating Pekin, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Hillcrest Academy came out on top against Pekin by a score of 40-32 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Louisa-Muscatine was beaten by Lone Tree 64-16 on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Hillcrest Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Louisa-Muscatine, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
