The Tri-West Hendricks Bruins will venture away from home to challenge the West Vigo Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Tri-West Hendricks is headed into Friday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-17 heartbreaker at the hands of Beech Grove.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jax Garver, who picked up 149 receiving yards and one score. His longest reception was for an incredible 89 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Sorgi, who threw for 290 yards and one TD.
Don't try to pin the team's loss on the defense: they kept the trenches locked down and allowed a mere 2.9 yards per carry. While two picked up at least nine total tackles, Gabe Miller stood above the rest. He picked up two sacks and made nine total tackles. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Tri-West Hendricks; they were averaging 5.7yards per carry per game earlier this season, but in their last three matchups they've fallen to only 0 per game.

Tri-West Hendricks' defense didn't let Bishop Moore, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Miller was the leader with two. He has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played.
Meanwhile, West Vigo played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Sullivan, falling 70-7. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Golden Arrows are ranked 132nd).
West Vigo's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 6-3.
Everything came up roses for Tri-West Hendricks against West Vigo in their previous meeting back in October of 2021, as the team secured a 62-12 win. In that contest, the Bruins amassed a halftime lead of 48-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
