Trinity Episcopal has gone 9-1 against Saint Gertrude recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Titans will look to defend their home field against the Gators at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Trinity Episcopal's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Saint John Paul the Great Catholic 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Cooper Beatty made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Brooke Shelton was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Lucia Fischi was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Trinity Episcopal was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Saint Gertrude didn't have quite enough to beat Catholic on Thursday and fell 14-13. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The win made it two in a row for Trinity Episcopal and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Saint Gertrude, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Trinity Episcopal hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like Saint Gertrude struggles in that department as they've averaged .405. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
