Basketball Game Preview: Middlesboro Yellowjackets vs. Harlan Green Dragons

Middlesboro is 1-9 against Harlan since December of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Middlesboro Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to face off against the Harlan Green Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Middlesboro took their game with ease, bagging an 82-38 win over Lynn Camp. The Yellowjackets have beaten the Wildcats the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Harlan hadn't done well against Corbin recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Harlan blew past Corbin, posting a 74-32 victory. The Green Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Harlan is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. Middlesboro's win bumped their record up to 14-11-1.
