Volleyball Recap: Green River Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Green River was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Dugway on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates fell 3-1 to the Whitehorse Raiders on Friday. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14, 19-25, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Green River lost, don't look at Rosa Barragan. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and two assists. Barragan has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played. Nora Barragan was another key player, getting 12 digs and four aces.

Green River's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Whitehorse, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green River will head out to challenge Monticello at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitehorse, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Water Canyon at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th.
