Basketball Game Preview: Barron Golden Bears vs. Ladysmith Lumberjacks

Barron and Ladysmith are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2018, but not for long. The Barron Golden Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Ladysmith Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Barron will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Baldwin-Woodville, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Barron beat Baldwin-Woodville on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 60-27. The Golden Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ladysmith entered their tilt with Spooner on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 61-44 win over the Rails.

Barron has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Ladysmith, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Barron against Ladysmith when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 73-33 victory. Does Barron have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ladysmith turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
