Recap: Norco Cougars vs. Roosevelt Mustangs

The Norco Cougars suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. Their rough 97-77 loss to Roosevelt might stick with them for a while. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (74), Norco still had to take the loss.

Norco's loss came despite strong showings from Kameron Brown and Ramiro Morales. Brown scored 25 points, while Morales scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morales has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Ibbetson, who scored ten points.

Norco has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season. As for Roosevelt, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norco will take on Santiago at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roosevelt, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Coronado at 9:00 p.m. on January 27th. One thing working in Coronado's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
