Oregon had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Morrison Mustangs, posting a 47-11 win. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Mustangs are ranked 616th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sarah Eckardt was the offensive standout of the game as she posted 16 points. Those 16 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Rufer, who earned ten points.

Oregon's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Morrison, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
