Baseball Preview: Kiel Raiders vs. Reedsville Panthers        
        
		
            
 Kiel has been on the road for three straight, but  on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Reedsville Panthers at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Reedsville took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Kiel, who comes in off a win.
 Last Saturday, Kiel beat Cedar Grove-Belgium 4-1. The  win was just what Kiel needed coming off of  a  9-0 loss in their prior  contest.
  Eyan Dessellier was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. Dessellier was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Grant Manz, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Reedsville had to start their season on the road  on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell victim to a  tough 9-1 defeat at the hands of Kohler.
 Kiel pushed their record up to 1-3 with that  victory, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs per game. As for Reedsville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
 Everything went Kiel's way against Reedsville when the teams last played  back in June of 2021 as Kiel made off with  a  15-1 win. Will Kiel repeat their success,  or does  Reedsville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
