Soccer Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point lost against Pontotoc back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The West Point Green Wave lost 7-0 to the Pontotoc Warriors. The Green Wave's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

West Point's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pontotoc, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-5.

West Point will take on Lafayette in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Point surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pontotoc, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Center Hill at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
