Irving scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the DeWitt Clinton Governors by a score of 17-16. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (14), Irving still had to take the loss.

Irving's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for DeWitt Clinton, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Irving and DeWitt Clinton will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Irving sees the field they'll take on Lehman at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for DeWitt Clinton, their break will end when they face Math Science & Engineering at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
