 Oak Ridge won the last time they faced Del Oro, and things went their way  on Friday too. The Oak Ridge Trojans narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Del Oro Golden Eagles  3-2. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Oak Ridge.
  Bryson Elliott tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched.
 At the plate, Oak Ridge's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Patrick Webb, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 On Del Oro's side, they got a good showing from  Broc McReynolds, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 Even though they lost, Del Oro  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 11  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Ridge only tossed six.
 The  win  got Oak Ridge back to even at 12-12. As for Del Oro,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 11-14.
 Oak Ridge will head out on the road to  challenge  Jesuit at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Jesuit is coming into the  contest with five straight  victories at home,  so Oak Ridge will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum. As for Del Oro, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Whitney at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Del Oro: 3.3, Whitney: 3.4) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
