Basketball Recap: Southern Christian Victorious

Southern Christian won the last time they faced Grace Christian, and Jedd Scott did his part to make sure it happened again. The Southern Christian Patriots took down the Grace Christian Crusader 48-29 on Thursday thanks in part to Scott, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Gabriel Decker, who posted 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.

Several Crusader players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Thad Shuler, who had nine points.

Southern Christian's record now sits at 6-9. As for Grace Christian, they are on a 30-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Southern Christian has already played their next matchup (against Wiregrass), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Grace Christian will venture away from home to face off against Kings Way Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Grace Christian is facing Kings Way Christian School at the right time seeing as Kings Way Christian School is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
