Volleyball Recap: Vermilion Sailors vs. Port Clinton Redskins

Vermilion got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Port Clinton Redskins. This was payback for the Sailors, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Vermilion walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-8, 25-19.

Leading Vermilion to victory were Haley Stepp and Elyse Myntti. Stepp had 15 digs, while Myntti had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Myntti has posted over her last nine contests. Elizabeth Okasinski also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
