Softball Recap: Mason Comes Up Short

Mason managed to slip by Leakey the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mason Punchers came up short against the Leakey Eagles on Tuesday, falling 19-2. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Punchers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mason's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Leakey, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8-1.

Coming up, Mason will welcome Johnson City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson City will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Mason surely won't give up without a fight. As for Leakey, they will head out on the road to face off against SA S at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Leakey is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
