Chino Hills won the last time they faced Huntington Beach and things went their way on Friday too. The Huskies walked away with a 9-4 win over the Oilers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Lily Stopani tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Makayla Encinas was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Lyla Gonzalez was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Chino Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Chino Hills' victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Huntington Beach, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

Chino Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 win against Cathedral Catholic on the 5th. As for Huntington Beach, they will face off against St. Paul at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
