Football Recap: Silver Creek Falls Despite Big Games from Alijah Guzman and Jordan Thompson

If Silver Creek was feeling good fresh off their 42-7 takedown of Del Mar last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell 22-17 to the Overfelt Royals on Friday. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Royals from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Silver Creek's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Thompson, who rushed for 108 yards and one score on only eight carries, and Alijah Guzman, who rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown. Thompson has become a key player for the Raiders: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Silver Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Overfelt, the victory also got them back to even at 4-4.
