Baseball Game Preview: Tularosa Wildcats vs. Hatch Valley Bears

For the second straight game, Tularosa will face off against Hatch Valley. The Wildcats will host the Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tularosa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Tularosa and Hatch Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bears by a score of 13-8 on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Bears on their field since April 1, 2022.

The team relied heavily on Hunter Sewell, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Samuel Kusmack was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Sewell wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Tularosa kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Hatch Valley is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8. As for Tularosa, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
