Starmount has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mount Airy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Granite Bears at 6:00 p.m. Starmount is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Last Wednesday, Starmount was able to grind out a solid victory over Ashe County, taking the game 5-1.

Meanwhile, Mount Airy fell victim to South Stokes and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Sauras, falling 13-0. The Granite Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Airy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braelyn Conner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Mount Airy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Starmount, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Starmount took their victory against Mount Airy when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 10-3 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Granite Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
