Powell County has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Raceland Rams at 11:00 a.m. One thing working in Powell County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
Powell County pushed their score all the way to 69 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 77-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wolfe County. Powell County has not had much luck with Wolfe County recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Raceland pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-58 to South Webster. Raceland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Powell County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Raceland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
