Baseball Recap: Seton Catholic Central Takes a Loss

Seton Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-3 to the Waverly Wolverines. The Saints were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Seton Catholic Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Broc Malyszek, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Malyszek's first of the season.

Seton Catholic Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coming up, Seton Catholic Central will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Oneonta at 6:00 p.m. The Yellowjackets will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight. Waverly will be paying especially close attention to Seton Catholic Central's contest: after Seton Catholic Central faces off against Oneonta, they'll take on Waverly again at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
