Football Recap: Cambridge/Salem's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After soaring to 33 points the game before, Cambridge/Salem was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They lost to the Greenwich Witches at home by a 21-7 margin. Cambridge/Salem has struggled against Greenwich recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Steven Yakubec threw for 123 yards on 11 of 19 attempts. Kolin Rowland was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards. On the ground, Abraham Cushing rushed for 28 yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cambridge/Salem fell to 2-1. As for Greenwich, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cambridge/Salem will take on rival Hudson Falls at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Greenwich is set to challenge their familiar foe Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
