Basketball Recap: Seekonk Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Seekonk had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 77-60 bruising from the West Bridgewater Wildcats. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Seekonk lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Greyson Baldizar, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Baldizar a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Elliott Baldizar, who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points.

The victory made it two in a row for West Bridgewater and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seekonk and Old Rochester Regional will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Bridgewater, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against Bourne at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
