Basketball Recap: Escambia County Blue Devils vs. Hillcrest Jaguars
Escambia County lost against Hillcrest back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Escambia County Blue Devils were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to the Hillcrest Jaguars. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cleo Bolar, who went 8 for 20 on his way to 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Bolar's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaniguel Taylor, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 16 points.
Escambia County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Hillcrest, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Escambia County will venture away from home to take on Charles Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Charles Henderson will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Escambia County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hillcrest, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Hillcrest Jaguars duke it out with the Excel Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
