Basketball Game Preview: Desert View Jaguars vs. Maricopa Rams + How To Watch

The Desert View Jaguars will take on the Maricopa Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Desert View not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since January 8th (when they won 77-16). They blew past Catalina 42-13. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Desert View found their leader in sophomore Robert Medrano, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Medrano. Damien Borquez was another key player, putting up six points and six boards.

Desert View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Maricopa earned a 54-44 victory over Rincon/University last Friday.

Desert View's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Maricopa, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Desert View couldn't quite get it done against Maricopa in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 as they fell 76-65. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
