 Riviera Prep can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Saturday. They were the clear victor by  a  12-1 margin over the Miami Country Day Spartans. That's more bragging rights for Riviera Prep, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Steven Nunez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out ten batters over  4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Nunez was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Riviera Prep got a  massive  performance out of  Tim Negron, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Negron has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.  Tanner Wasserman was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 On Miami Country Day's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tanner Sennett, who  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 Riviera Prep's victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-12. As for Miami Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
 Riviera Prep is on the road again  on Thursday to play Marathon at 7:00  p.m. Marathon will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something Riviera Prep surely won't give up without a fight. As for Miami Country Day, they will stay at home for another  game and welcome North Miami Beach at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. North Miami Beach is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.1  runs per game  this season.
