Football Recap: Southwest Guilford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Southwest Guilford had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it eight. They took a blow against the Western Guilford Hornets, falling 54-20. The Cowboys were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Emmanuel Martin threw for 217 yards on 21 of 33 attempts. Iziah Witcher was his top target, picking up 110 receiving yards.

As for Western Guilford, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Western Guilford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clarence (CJ) Blevins, who rushed for 140 yards and three scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Caleb Moore, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.
