Baseball Recap: Azusa Takes a Loss

Azusa and Cate squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Azusa had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-2. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Azusa saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Terry Chavez, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Luis Garrido Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Azusa now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Cate, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Azusa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cate, they will take on La Quinta at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
