Preview: St. Paul vs. West
The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday St. Paul takes on West in the first playoff game of the year. West's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a St. Paul defense that got seven sacks against Salesian in its previous game.
St. Paul has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling four) after its most recent game. It put the hurt on Salesian last week with a conclusive 42 - 6 victory. At 36 points, that marked St. Paul's largest margin of victory so far this year. As for West, it narrowly escaped with a win last week as it sidled past Torrance 24 - 21.
Their wins bumped West to 5-5 and St. Paul to 4-6. We'll find out on Friday which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when West and St. Paul clash.
