Basketball Game Preview: Sound Christian Lions vs. Chief Kitsap Academy Bears

The Sound Christian Lions will head out on the road to take on the Chief Kitsap Academy Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Sound Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Sound Christian easily dispatched Rainier Christian on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Sound Christian fell just short of Concordia Christian Academy by a score of 72-70 on Thursday. The loss was the Lions' first of the season.

Despite the defeat, Sound Christian got top-tier performance from Makai Resseau, who posted 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Resseau has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Mika Lester, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Chief Kitsap Academy had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Crosspoint, falling 56-31. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row dating back to last season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sound Christian fell to 2-1. As for Chief Kitsap Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
