Softball Recap: Albertville Takes a Loss

Albertville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the Alexandria Valley Cubs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Valley Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on Saturday.

Albertville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendra McCaffrey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. McCaffrey also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Albertville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Alexandria, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Albertville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-2 victory against Coosa Christian on the 11th. As for Alexandria, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-6 win against White Plains on the 8th.
