Basketball Recap: Leake County Comes Up Short

Leake County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost to the McAdams Bulldogs on the road by a 43-28 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-42 back in November.

When it comes to explaining why Leake County lost, don't look at Daishone Turner. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Turner a new career-high in blocks (four).

Leake County's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for McAdams, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leake County will take on Sebastopol in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McAdams and Scott Central will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
