Basketball Game Preview: Richland Royals vs. Brandeis Broncos

Having just played yesterday, the Richland Royals will jump right back in to play the Brandeis Broncos at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Richland will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Richland saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 54-43 victory over Haltom. Those 54 points were actually the fewest the Royals have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Richland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kole Dortch, who posted 17 points. Erick James was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Broncos on Friday. Brandeis pulled ahead with a 47-46 photo finish over Denton.

Brandeis' win came from a few key players Richland will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Connor Garcia, who put up nine points and seven assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chris Battles, who scored eight points and seven rebounds.

Richland's record is now 4-1. As for Brandeis, their record now sits at 4-2.
