Football Game Preview: Alvord Bulldogs vs. Carlisle Indians + How To Watch

The Alvord Bulldogs will face off against the Carlisle Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvord is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Alvord is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Hico 51-14. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matchups by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Zane Fuentes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 211 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 163 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Dalton George, who threw for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Alvord was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 307 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 221 rushing yards in nine consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Carlisle strolled past Valley Mills with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 24-8.

Alvord better keep an eye on Antonio Ibarra. He was instrumental in Carlisle's win, rushing for 80 yards and two scores, while also throwing for 116 yards and one TD.

Carlisle didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Aidan Martin, Joseph Mejia, and Dakota Grigsby picked up one apiece.

Carlisle now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Alvord, their record now sits at 9-2.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Alvord has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 311.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Carlisle struggles in that department as they've been averaging 168.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
