Football Recap: Berkeley Springs Falls Despite Big Games from Kyle Moore and Jalen Miller + How To Watch

Berkeley Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shady Spring Tigers. While the Indians had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Tigers 7-0.

Berkeley Springs' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jalen Miller, who threw for 172 yards and one TD on only 13 passes, and Kyle Moore, who gained 130 total yards and a touchdown. Miller's passing game has become a key predictor of the Indians' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-5 otherwise.

Berkeley Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Shady Spring, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

Coming up, Berkeley Springs will welcome Lewis County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Minutemen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
