Calhan's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Fountain Valley Danes. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Danes: they've now won five in a row.

Calhan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-18, 25-19, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Fountain Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ainsley Joseph had 28 digs and two assists.

Calhan's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-8. As for Fountain Valley, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Calhan has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ellicott on the 23rd. As for Fountain Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Miami-Yoder on the 20th.
