Golden Valley won the last time they faced Del Oro and Raymond Valderrama did his part to make sure it happened again. It took a bit of extra time, but the Bulldogs secured a 38-31 victory against the Suns in overtime on Thursday thanks in part to Valderrama: he rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Valderrama is becoming a predictor of Golden Valley's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

The win made it two in a row for Golden Valley and bumps their season record up to 2-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points over those games. As for Del Oro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
