Softball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

If Trinity was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Portland Christian on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Butler County Bears on Monday. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Trinity's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-5. As for Butler County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-12.

Coming up, Trinity will head out to take on McLean County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Butler County, they will host Warren East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
