Softball Recap: Barton Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Barton's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Des Arc Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Barton's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Des Arc, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Barton will challenge rival Hazen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Des Arc is set to square off against their familiar foe England at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Eagles' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Lions have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
