After losing to Coolidge the last time they met, Eastern decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Ramblers had just enough and edged out the Colts 23-20. That's two games straight that the Ramblers have won by exactly three points.

Among those leading the charge was Jeremiah Hubbard, who threw for 234 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Those 234 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Eastern proved: they limited Coolidge to a paltry -0.1 yards per carry. The Ramblers' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 2.9.

Eastern pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.3 points on average over those games. As for Coolidge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
