Soccer Game Preview: Pine View vs. Crimson Cliffs

Pine View hasn't had much luck against Crimson Cliffs recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will host the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Pine View will be strutting in after a victory while Crimson Cliffs will be coming in after a loss.

Pine View was handed a five-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hurricane, sneaking past 3-2. The win continues a trend for Pine View in their matchups with Hurricane: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Crimson Cliffs entered their match against Desert Hills on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mustangs took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. That's two games in a row now that Crimson Cliffs have lost by exactly two goals.

They hit Desert Hills with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kaden Parrish, Travis Murdock, and Fairbanks Logan.

Pine View's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Crimson Cliffs, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Pine View couldn't quite get it done against Crimson Cliffs in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
