Basketball Recap: Johnson County Sports Association Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Johnson County Sports Association kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 44-14 loss at the hands of the Joshua Christian Knights. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Johnson County Sports Association's loss came despite strong showings from Rea Unterseher and Gabby Fahey. Unterseher posted six points and seven boards, while Fahey put up two points and five rebounds.

The win got Joshua Christian back to even at 1-1.

Johnson County Sports Association has already played their next game, a 50-17 loss against Ovilla Christian on the 21st. As for Joshua Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Paul's Prep at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
