Basketball Recap: Laredo LBJ Comes Up Short

Laredo LBJ lost against Medina Valley back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Laredo LBJ Wolves lost 54-31 to the Medina Valley Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1043rd, while the Panthers are ranked 407th).

Medina Valley found their leader in sophomore Kyla Carter, who posted 11 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. Trinity Dixon was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Laredo LBJ has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season. As for Medina Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-14.

Laredo LBJ has already played their next matchup (against Eagle Pass), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Medina Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-55 win against Alexander on the 22nd.
