Softball Recap: Bellingham Takes a Loss

Bellingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Anacortes Seahawks. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Bayhawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bellingham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Anacortes, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bellingham will square off against rival Meridian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Anacortes is set to challenge their familiar foe Lynden at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
