Recap: River Dell Golden Hawks vs. Ramsey Rams
The River Dell Golden Hawks were the 51-36 winner over the Ramsey Rams when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. River Dell opened the new year with a less-than-successful 45-40 loss to they on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points they have scored all season.
Several Golden Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sean Golden, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Golden's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Nunez, who scored nine points.
This is the second loss in a row for River Dell and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Ramsey, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
River Dell will take on Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westwood will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Ramsey, they will head out on the road to face off against Pascack Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pascack Hills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Ramsey is ranked 14th).
