Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Franklin and Lincoln-Sudbury squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Franklin had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-0. The Panthers were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matches prior), but the Warriors' pitchers proved too tough.

Franklin moved to 9-12-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

While Franklin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
