Basketball Game Preview: Barnesville Shamrocks vs. Shenandoah Zeps

Barnesville and Shenandoah are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Barnesville Shamrocks will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Shenandoah Zeps at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Barnesville is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

On Monday, Barnesville had to suffer through a 77-34 loss at the hands of Union Local. While losing is never fun, the Shamrocks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 490th, while the Jets are ranked 148th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shenandoah). They came out on top against Shadyside by a score of 67-59 on Friday.

Barnesville's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Shenandoah, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Barnesville beat Shenandoah 62-49 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Barnesville repeat their success, or does Shenandoah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
