Preview: Loranger Wolves vs. Lakeshore

Loranger is 2-8 against Lakeshore since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Loranger Wolves will be playing at home against Lakeshore at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Loranger has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Lakeshore will arrive with six straight victories.

Last Friday, Loranger lost to Archbishop Hannan at home by a decisive 66-50 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Loranger in their matchups with Archbishop Hannan: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Lakeshore scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Pearl River with a sharp 88-67 victory. Lakeshore has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakeshore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caiden Bickham, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. Bickham is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Guth, who scored 18 points along with two steals.

Loranger dropped their record down to 5-14 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Lakeshore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season.

Loranger might still be hurting after the 70-44 defeat they got from Lakeshore in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Loranger have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
