Softball Recap: Springboro Beats Mount Horeb for Their Third Straight Win

Springboro had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Mount Horeb Vikings by a score of 11-7.

Bella Breen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Breen was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. That hit marked the first that she got this season.

In other batting news, Springboro got a massive performance out of Bri Schul, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Schul has posted since back in April of 2024. Bella Miller was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Springboro's record now sits at 3-1.

Coincidentally, Springboro and Mount Horeb will both be playing Perry County Central the next time they take the field. Mount Horeb will head out to face Perry County Central at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, while Springboro will host them at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
