Volleyball Recap: Northview Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Union on Monday, Northview came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the South Christian Sailors on Wednesday. That makes it the first time this season the Wildcats have let down their home crowd.

Northview couldn't get the win, but they sure gave South Christian a tough time in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 25-16, 30-28.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooke VanderLaan, who had 22 assists. That's the most assists VanderLaan has posted since back in November of 2024.

Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 18-16. As for South Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

Northview will host Cedar Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
